After founding the band in 2005, Swedens youngsters Marionette have released their debut "Spite" in 2008 and here ist the follow-up "Enemies". Their mix of metal styles is hard to describe because they really use a lot of them. Highly melodic Deathmetal, with a very slight industrial edge with synthy sound here and there and some Thrashn and so on.

As versatile as the different influences and parts in the songs are, as dreary is the singer. His screams are a bit boring from time to time, but actually I don't want to complain, because I don't want singing and opera in my metal.

So, Marionette need a bit more of their own identity and a clearer direction to draw more attention to themselves and a bit less of all of those different styles because it feels like there is always another band that has done this better before. They just can't make me care about this a lot, which is a bad thing.
