Dominic is from Norway. He likes dressing like his classmate JR Ewing and when he grows up he wants to be a Kaospilot.
That's about all this band description needs. These likable guys play heartfelt and highly energetic Postcore. Nord is their second album and they have also released some singles and splits. NORD has 10 tracks full of rocking Hardcore / Postcore, complex harmonies and and some calmer tracks. I think there hasn't been a band still active in a long time that played that style that was so popular in the nineties so well without sounding like another rip-off. Next to the louder and rocking part of it all, they have some more atmospheric parts that could take Envy as a reference which gives another interesting impulse in a different direction. Every track has a characteristic rhythm, riff, drumline, harmony or verse that makes it catchy. The well-balanced relationship between anger and beauty rounds the record up nicely.
If you did like those guys from Norway that I mentioned earlier and you might like it a bit more complex you will dig this right away, if you like modern, heartfelt postcore, you will as well. You can buy this one as a nice CD or LP with a different artwork. Both available via Denovali, one of the nicest labels around by the way and as always you can download some songs on their website.
