Young Livers - Of Misery And Toil
Written by M

young livers Young Livers have been on heavy rotation with their former album "The New Drop era" already, so I am very happy to have this in my hands now. After touring excessively, they parted ways with their former bassist and Mike Carter (from Glass and Ashes) joined in.

And where does a No Idea band reside? Of course in Gainesville, FL. And that's kind of what they sound like as well. Heartfelt, driving and desperate Gainesville punkrock. Screamed, gruff vocals that Chuck Ragan or O'Pioneers couldn't do any better, melodies that'll make you sing along alone in your livingroom, and an energy that will make you clench your fists whilst being alone in your living room instead of the front row of a live show. The rhythm section makes you want to at least bang your head. There is plenty of frantic start-and-stop riffing, desperate breakdowns, dueling guitars and vocals and some more good guitar work your should pay attention to.

You should own this is you are into the Gainesville sound or some No Idea Records. Good stuff.
