Well… after I first read the promotion company’s sheet I was scared. I expected the worst when I hitted play but after the first few seconds I was releaved. It’s not THAT bad. But… it is bad. There’s a saying “never change a winning team” but nobody seems to care. When bands known for a certain style or sound try to change that, they mostly fail. Because no matter what they do, someone else had done it before and they end up being a second grade copy at the best. What Disfear deliver on their new album is generic. You could call it death’n’roll or something. Who cares. The power of the earlier Disfear works is gone and they sound pretty untouched by what they try to say. No emotions. No anger, no frustration, no hate. Just head music. Nicely arranged but without guts. Everything you’d expect from a Disfear record is gone and replaced by mediocracy.. it’s the sheer talent of those dudes that makes you able to listen to the whole album even though all the songs sound the same. And at the end, with the final song and title track you get an idea what this record could have sounded like. If “Live The Storm” would be a records of “Live The Storm”s! But this way it’s not a Disfear record but a disappointing record.
